With expansive views of the surrounding countryside, this home offered the perfect setting for an outdoor living space designed to be enjoyed throughout the warmer months. Our goal was to create more than a beautiful deck—we wanted the entire outdoor area to feel like a thoughtfully designed extension of the home. The expansive deck was organized into distinct zones for dining, lounging, and entertaining while maintaining an open connection to the landscape beyond. A warm, neutral foundation allows the natural surroundings to remain the focal point, while rich teal upholstery and accents introduce color and tie the various seating areas together. Sculptural tables, patterned performance fabrics, oversized planters, and layered accessories bring the same level of detail and personality outdoors that we would incorporate into an interior space. Architectural elements were equally important to the transformation. The streamlined cable railing preserves the property’s incredible views, while black structural elements create contrast against the warm decking and coordinate beautifully with the home’s exterior. Below the deck, custom decorative screening transforms a functional area into an intentional architectural feature and creates a polished transition to the pool and patio. The finished space moves effortlessly from poolside afternoons to family dinners and evenings gathered with friends—a comfortable, sophisticated outdoor retreat designed around both the way the homeowners live and the landscape they get to enjoy every day.
