The Cape House Project

This family beach house needed a refresh to have space for the growing extended family. Every bathroom in the home was renovated along with the guest bedrooms. To start, the serene primary bathroom was given a beachy vibe perfect for Cape Cod. We used a sea glass-inspired tile on the backsplash and in the shower and a sandy-looking tile on the floor. Everything was kept bright and airy. We made sure to keep this a zero-entry shower as the matriarch of the family will use this room, and it needs to accommodate her as she ages. Moving upstairs to the first guest bathroom, the design is all about the various teals and tans giving us a calm ocean feel. We especially love the teal vanity and to-the-ceiling penny tile creating a lot of interest. The adjacent bunk room was created for the grandkids to enjoy. The perfect spot for kid slumber parties at the beach house. We love the bold colors to make a big impact in a small space. Down the hall, a bold teal wall and an orange accent tile make for a beautifully colorful guest bathroom. We love the striped tile layout playing against the geometric shape of the mirrors. Add in the crab art and you have a lovely place to wash off the salt and sand after a full day at the beach. Across the hall, we created a tiny but really fun guest room intended for a parent and baby. We love the impact of this wallpaper. This room will adapt over time as the family changes and the grandkids grow, but the wallpaper and window seat are here to stay. Finally, the guest primary bathroom has a beautiful cream and navy color palette. A bolder take on the beach theme we carried throughout the home. We love the dark wall contrasting with the light grey tile. All in all a home that this family will enjoy for summers to come. 📸 leahmartinphoto
